Connectivity problems
Tips For how to get the best signal
Check your signal with the reception assistant, found in the Unwired support tool. You should aim for 4 green bars or above for an optimum connection. If you haven't already installed the Unwired support tool, it can be found on your installation CD, or downloaded here
Try changing the orientation of the modem. Changing the angle at which the modem is sitting in can be just as effective as moving the modem to a new position.
When trying a different position, place your modem near a window, or in an open, high position.
Have a solid light, but cannot connect to the internet (IP connectivity)
If you're using an Ethernet modem, check that your LNK lights are active. Your LNK lights can be found at the back of your Unwired modem, and the back of your Ethernet port/adapter on your PC/laptop. If they are not flashing, try removing and re-inserting the Ethernet cable.
Use the 'refresh connection' utility included in the Unwired support tool, to renew your connection with the unwired network. If you do not have the Unwired support tool installed, it can be found on your installation CD, or can be downloaded here
Make sure your antivirus software, firewalls, or other security software is not interfering with your internet connection.
