Unwired Network Coverage

  • Please refer to the availability section of our website for more information on our current coverage area.

  • You can now take up either our fast internet plans or broadband plans to experience Unwired within our coverage area, which is most of greater Sydney. Additional base stations are planned to extend our coverage even further in 2005. There are also plans to roll out Unwired to other parts of Australia in the future. Please check the availability section of the website for current coverage in your area, or to register your details to be notified when we are in your area.

  • Please refer to the Corporate Relations section of the web site for updates on the timing of future locations. You can register your interest for future coverage.

  • Unwired is portable, so you can move your Unwired Modem and obtain a wireless internet connection virtually everywhere within the Sydney coverage area*. However as it is not a mobile service, your computer must be stationary while you are online. This means that you cannot use the Unwired service while travelling in a car as your connection may fail.

  • We try to get our maps as accurate as possible but there may be a small percentage of people in the coverage area who can't get Unwired due, for example, to unusual terrain or building construction, if they are using it in an internal room several walls away from an exterior wall, or because they are on the edge of the coverage area. You can also check our support pages at http://www.unwired.com.au/support/index.php for assistance in positioning your modem. People unable to get coverage can take advantage of our 7 day money back guarantee.

    We are also in the process of fine-tuning the network and filling in coverage gaps marked yellow on our coverage maps by installing additional base stations.

  • Routine maintenance on our network can occur between the hours of 1.00am and 5.00am where you may occasionally experience a less than 15 minute disruption to your service during that time. We endeavour to keep you informed of any disruptions to your service ahead of time. You can keep up to date with any announcements by visiting the service status page of our website.
