There are a number of Unwired Web Hosting plans on offer:
- Business - Best for small businesses/professionals looking to establish an online identity. A company's first website, online brochure, or as a supplement to other advertising.
- Business Plus - Business or professional customers who would like heavier content hosted (i.e. larger image files, flash presentations, and small java applets) for a more professional looking website. Customers can also implement 1-2 products available through an online shop interface.
- Professional - Customers who want to host rich graphic content, with some streaming video/audio, and a wider selection in their online shop. This site is also recommended should the customers expect a mid to high amount of traffic visiting their site.
- Premium - This plan is best suited for a fully fledged online business. It allows space for streaming content, hosted downloads, online shop, and a large amount of traffic to pass through the site.

Yes. You just need to upload the data of your existing web site to your new Unwired Web Hosting server. You can speak to one of our customer service representatives for more information concerning this.

Mission Control is an application where you manage your web hosting plan. It's accessed from the Unwired website under the web hosting section.

Charges for web hosting include setup fees and ongoing monthly web hosting fees. These charges will be included on your Unwired invoice along with your monthly internet charges. Web hosting charges are paid a month in advance in line with charges for your Unwired internet charges. The first invoice will include two months worth of charges, the current months hosting fees and one month of fees in advance. Payment will be made against your nominated credit card on your anniversary date. Once you have been notified of your successful application the relevant web hosting charges will be applied to your next invoice.

Once you have reached your monthly data limit, you will be charged an excess data rate corresponding to your chosen plan. These excess usage charges will appear on your next Unwired invoice. See here for more details on these charges.

Yes. Your web hosting plan, or level can be changed via Mission Control. Changes are normally effective immediately but there may be occasional delays depending on network availability. If you change your web hosting plan mid way during your billing month, the charges for each of the plans will be pro-rated according to the days on each plan. You will receive a credit or debit on your next bill for the difference in plan charges, for the remaining days of your billing month.

You can access to technical support by logging a job in your Unwired Web Hosting Mission Control. This service is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also the view the status of support jobs placed in Mission Control, by viewing the Job Summary screen.

It takes approximately 1 to 2 working days to have all of the components of your Unwired Web Hosting account finalised. However, you will be provided with a username and password and a temporary domain name within two hours of signing up to a Unwired Web Hosting account. This will allow you to upload your web site and create your mailboxes.

A domain name is the unique name that identifies an internet site. On the web, the domain name is the part of the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) that tells a domain name server where to forward a request for a web page. For example, the domain name of this web site is unwired.com.au.

Yes. Your existing domain name can be re delegated to your Unwired web site. You can request this during join-up by selecting the 're-delegate domain' option under domain name selection.

No, If you don't want to register your own domain name on the web straight away, Unwired will issue a subdomain in the format of "selectedname.users.unwired.com.au". You can request this during join up.

You can purchase your own domain name during join up for your Unwired web hosting plan. If you don't want to purchase a domain name straight away, Unwired Web Hosting will provide you with a sub domain for free, and you can purchase a domain name at a later date via Mission Control.

No. You cannot purchase a domain name from Unwired unless you have an Unwired Web Hosting plan.

FTP is the acronym for File Transfer Protocol. It is the most popular method of transferring large amounts of data from one place to another over an internet connection. There are many types of FTP programs available, including the one built into Microsoft FrontPage.

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the encryption method used to ensure secure transactions on the internet. This means that any sensitive information, such as credit card information and personal details, are sent safely.

You upload your web site using an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program. These are widely available for free on the internet (e.g. www.tucows.com). If you are developing your site using Microsoft FrontPage Extensions, you can upload your pages directly using your IDE. Please note that you will still need your web hosting username and password to execute this.

You can register your new web site with many of the most popular search engines, including Google, via Mission Control. Registration is free and is essential, if you require your online presence to be available to potential customers searching the web using these search tools.

Access to your web hosting account details and email is via 'Mission Control' which can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection, be that from home or at the office. Mission Control is a portal where you manage your web hosting plan and it's accessed from the web hosting section of the Unwired website.

As an Unwired customer you have an unwired email address. If you subscribe to a web hosting plan, you will receive unlimited email addresses with this plan. These web hosting mailboxes feature your own unique domain name, for example info@yourdomain.com.au. See our web hosting plans for more information.

Absolutely. Your Unwired Web Hosting email accounts are accessible through all standard email clients such as Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express. You can view and edit your mail settings via Mission Control.
