Quick Checks

Modem Diagram

Before contacting Support, please check the following:

Power

The indicator lights on the front of the modem provide valuable information about its operation. They change colour to designate the state of the items they represent. Below is a table and picture showing the indicator lights and what they represent.

Ensure power is turned on by checking the power indicator light is green. If you are using the battery, remove the battery and replace, then ensure the battery light is off indicating it is fully charged. If the battery light is yellow it is charging, or if it is red it is less than 20% charged.

Cables

Ensure that all cables are firmly in place from the computer to the modem. For ethernet modems, check that the lights at the actual port are flashing.

Signal Strength

To ensure that you are receiving maximum signal strength to your modem, change the position of the modem until the signal light is green.
